What We Don’t Consider Abuse
DataOx provides legitimate data collection and web development services. The following are not considered abuse:
- Public data collection from publicly accessible websites
- API-based data gathering within API terms of use
- Market research using publicly available information
- Competitive analysis using legal and ethical methods
- Price monitoring of publicly displayed prices
- Custom software development for legitimate business purposes
How to Report Abuse
To report abuse of DataOx services, please send an email to hello@data-ox.com with the following information:
Required Information
- Your name and title
- Company/Organization you represent
- Contact email for follow-up communication
- Website(s) or platform(s) affected
- Type of abuse (select from categories above)
- Detailed description of the violation
Supporting Evidence
Please include relevant evidence such as:
- Server logs showing suspicious activity
- Screenshots of violations
- URLs of affected pages or applications
- Documentation of terms of service violations
- Timeline of when the abuse occurred
- IP addresses or user agents involved (if available)
Legal Documentation
If applicable, please attach:
- Cease and desist letters
- Copyright registration documents
- Trademark certificates
- Terms of service that were violated
Our Investigation Process
Initial Review (24-48 hours)
- We acknowledge receipt of your report
- Initial assessment of the claim
- Request for additional information if needed
Detailed Investigation (3-7 business days)
- Technical analysis of reported activities
- Review of client contracts and project scope
- Consultation with legal team if required
- Communication with involved parties
Resolution Actions
Depending on our findings, we may:
- Suspend services for the reported client
- Terminate contracts for serious violations
- Implement technical measures to prevent further abuse
- Cooperate with legal proceedings when appropriate
- Provide compliance recommendations to affected parties
False Reports
Please note that knowingly filing false abuse reports may result in:
- Legal action for defamation or harassment
- Blocking of future communications
- Reporting to relevant authorities if applicable
