The Eco Village in Tanzania is a long-term development project creating a safe, sustainable community for orphaned and vulnerable children while supporting surrounding families. Located near Dar es Salaam, the village combines family-style eco-homes, education, healthcare, and livelihoods within an environmentally regenerative setting. Children live in small homes with full-time caregivers, attend school, and grow up with stability, dignity, and faith at the centre of daily life.

Donations help build and maintain eco-homes, support residential care, and fund shared facilities, including an Eco Mosque, training spaces, and green infrastructure.

Contributions also sustain permaculture farming, water harvesting, and tree planting, reducing costs while strengthening food security and resilience.

So far, the Eco Village has provided long-term care for dozens of vulnerable girls, restored degraded land, planted thousands of trees, and created local jobs through agriculture and eco-training. Each donation supports safe housing, education, and environmental regeneration, delivering lasting impact for children and the wider community.

Before arriving at the Eco Village, many children had known loss, instability, and repeated displacement. Without consistent care, education, or safe shelter, their futures felt uncertain and fragile. Support matters because childhood should be rooted in security, belonging, and opportunity, not survival alone. Through the Eco Village, that story changes. 

 Children move into family homes, attend school daily, and grow within a caring community that nurtures faith, confidence, and wellbeing. Caregivers, teachers, and local staff walk alongside them, offering stability and hope. What begins as protection becomes possibility, where children grow beyond crisis toward purpose and dignity.

Islamic Help delivers eco-village projects through audited systems, local partnerships, and measurable outcomes. Projects are designed, approved, and implemented with community leaders and technical specialists. Budgets are agreed in advance and monitored throughout the delivery process. Progress is tracked against clear milestones, including construction stages, training sessions, and environmental outputs. Field teams submit regular reports, photos, and evidence of completion.

Independent audits review programme spend and compliance annually. Impact data is verified internally before publication. Donors receive updates showing progress, challenges, and next steps. Projects are assessed for sustainability, maintenance plans, and community ownership. Lessons learned inform future designs. Where possible, results are externally evaluated. This transparent approach ensures accountability, traceability, and confidence that funds are used as intended, delivering long-term, responsible environmental development across vulnerable regions worldwide.
